ORCHESTRE PHILHARMONIQUE DE RADIO FRANCE

Mikko Franck, conductor
Sol Gabetta, cello
This French edition of Septembre Musical concludes spectacularly with the virtuoso Sol Gabetta. Her passionate bow expertly breathes life into Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor – one of the first concertante compositions for cello from the 19th century. Ravel will follow with his orchestral score of Ma mère l’Oye (Mother Goose), inspired by Charles Perrault’s fairy tales, and his celebrated Boléro – probably the most famous piece of classical music in the world!
