Oliver Schnyder Trio
20:00
Andreas Janke, violin
Benjamin Nyffenegger, cello
Oliver Schnyder, piano
Oliver Schnyder, named “the piano poet” by the international press, is not content to just line up concert tours as a soloist. The musician from Aargau is also an outstanding chamber music performer and the regular partner of many renowned artists. Over the past decade, he has also performed this repertoire with his own trio in the world’s greatest music venues. These three virtuosos confront Mendelssohn’s final chamber music work with a Saint-Saëns Piano Trio inspired by its illustrious Romantic predecessor.
Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921)- Piano Trio No. 1 op. 18
Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) - Trio No. 2 in C minor
The concert, without intermission, ends around 21:30.
