After a sold-out first edition in 2024, Classic Lab is back to push the boundaries of artistic innovation. This reinvention of the classical repertoire will deliver unique experiences with world-class artists.

Creative flair and excellence at its core
The 2025 programme brings together virtuoso artists and the finest ensembles. Highlights include: Alexandra Conunova celebrating Moldova’s rich musical heritage, Dmitry Shishkin and Timothy Chooi elevating 19th-century Romantic masterpieces, as well as original pieces including Bach in the Jungle with Leticia Moreno and From Bach to Jazz performed by Avi Avital and Omer Klein.

The London Aurora Orchestra will bring a Swiss premiere to the stage with an immersive version of Saint Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, while Gautier Capuçon and Jérôme Ducros will perform a masterful interpretation of Rachmaninoff and Piazzolla. Not forgetting Peter Bence, whose electrifying performances combine classical, pop and rock music.

The festival also welcomes Igudesman & Joo, a duo of eccentric virtuosos blending comedy and classical music. They’ll be accompanied by the bewitching voice of soprano Ekaterina Shelehova and the incredibly talented Claire Wells.

A festival resonating at the heart of the Riviera
While waiting for the Auditorium Stravinski to reopen in 2026, the festival is taking up residence in locations steeped in history, including Chillon Castle, the Petit Palais at Fairmont Montreux Palace and the Salle del Castillo in Vevey. Why? To showcase the thrill of classical music in spectacular settings and strengthen links between the festival’s national and international audiences and the Riviera region.

A musical experience accessible to all
“True to its mission, Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey is committed to making great music accessible, innovating and building a dedicated community. Tickets start from CHF 49 with a special rate of CHF 10 for young people, and there are a wide range of cultural activities aimed at school-age children in the region,” states Laurent Maire, president of the Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey Foundation.

“Classic Lab is an invitation to explore and innovate. We want to create unforgettable musical encounters where artists and audiences share a powerful, bold and emotional experience,” concludes Mischa Damev, director of the festival.
